Campaign 2009-2010
This is the home page for Matthew J. Fraser's
run for the Massachusetts State Senate. The district is Massachusetts 2nd Essex, which
includes the communities of Salem, Beverly, Peabody,
Danvers and Topsfield. I'll be running as an
Independent. Realistically, at least two things can be
begun in 2010 and accomplished during the first
term; doing excellent annual reports and maximizing
language programs, which you can see more about on the blog. In the meantime, if you're interested in
learning more about my education background,
you can check out the "Services" page here.
Campaign Format: The focus of this campaign
is working together to find solutions for the people, with
an emphasis on education, housing and retirement
planning. The three
foreseen expenditures of any money raised will go toward
funding the mortgage and finance seminars, doing a
simple annual report style mailing in January of 2010,
and the same in January of 2011. This way, the
people actually get something for their money, and below
is an approximation of how this might work. For more
thoughts on the basic mortgage and finance seminars, and
how they might work, have a look at the "Mortgage and
Finance Basics" section on the blog. Also,
the format below is here to show the potential for idea
sharing for relatively short money in a political
campaign in the age of the Internet.

My area
of greatest knowledge is in education, which you can
see more about on the bottom of the “situations” page.. At the same time, I’ve continued to learn as
much as possible about the field through reading
Commonwealth Magazine and other publications, while
applying their research to my writing. Those specific
education goals are outlined on the “Current Goals”
page, and you can see more about teaching the basics of
mortgage and finance on the blog.
Perhaps
the strongest ability I bring to the table are my
language skills, the most relevant of which are strong
Spanish, Portuguese and Russian. This can be utilized in
many different ways, but above all better connecting
with and responding to the needs of those communities. I
also write speak a number of other languages very well,
and I'll be seeking to connect with those language
groups as well.
Annual Reports I'm a big believer in the value
and potential of annual reports. The more people that take a crack at
figuring out what we can do to respond to our current
situation, the better, and annual reports can help.
Having spent as much time as I have researching and
writing Ideas for America 1 will allow me to do a very
good job on that. and, I can only imagine what we
might accomplish working with a staff at the State
House. So, campaign mailings will be more like annual reports
followed by questions, which hopefully will lead
to our working together more effectively in dealing with
current situations, including the economic crisis..
How to Support: Send me an e-mail in
the contact page and let us know that you're interested
in supporting. Support could be financial,
but it could also be expressing a capacity and
willingness to do some of the basic mortgage and finance
seminars.
